I though it necessary to mention what the purpose of this site IS and IS NOT. Reason being, I've already felt the perception of "hey... I know that guy! Who does he think he is claiming to be some big leader." And others like "he's not all that. He's just a guy."
Truth is friends, I am just a guy, but one who is in steady pursuit of purpose. A man willing to take his place on the throne of ridicule in hopes that my contribution to this world will breathe life into at least one person. I have a gift. One that I both appreciate and resent. It has caused me much grief. Simply put, it's an uncanny awareness of things... Especially things emotional in nature. Maybe that's why I'm such a poor judge of character. I sense one's desires and dreams, the person they want to be as opposed to the person they really are. But then, maybe thats not so bad. Everyone should be challenged to become enlightened and reach self-actualization. This gift of mine has recently unveiled certain realities of my own character I have only begun to tackle.
This gift allows me the ability to help you channel the negative energies you posses, or that may be directed at you by others, in such a way that allows you to move forward freely in a state of constant self-discovery. I can offer you a different point-of-view, a different worldview or outlook on the situation at hand. (And usually that outlook is raw and uncut. Not for the faint of heart)
However there is a negative side to this sense of awareness that I speak so openly about. See... my music, speaches, and writings can help take you to a place of greater enlightenlment and awareness of self; a successful place, but only your character can keep you there... And if you begin to drift back into the cold waters of your own conflicting nature, I am pulled right along, tied to you by a rope fashioned from the cords of hope and determination. So by turning to writing I lengthen my rope and have a better chance at successfully accomplishing my mission, my purpose, without drowning in the process.
The purpose of this site IS NOT:
- To present some unrealistic and self-glorifying image of myself
- To reveal to the world the true face of certain people you might otherwise respect
- To call out names, reveal haters, and make myself the victim
- To burden you, the reader, with sob stories of my life to draw pity
- To preach a gospel, political stand-point, or world-view
The purpose of the site IS:
- To unbury universal truths and principals which you can use to shed light upon your current situation.
- To allow you to use my experiences to help you know what to either avoid or attract in your life.
- To reveal my own decision making processes in order to help other make similar, or not-so-similar choices; learn from my successes, choices, and mistakes. (3 totally different things btw)
- To encourage and enlighten the future leader - The young black male who has hit the glass ceiling in his job; the politician who has to keep smiling because it's his "job;" the young housewife looking for a way out of an abusive marriage; the teenager who wishes to be understood; the person living a homosexual lifestyle while being fearful of the stigmas that come with it; the homeless person who is stereotyped for their condition and seeks only to be free to have what others in this country so readily enjoy... etcetera etcetera.
